I’ll preface by saying I have family in Deer Valley, so my family visits every winter. Although this spa provides a visual treat, the lack of attention to detail or noise concern has left me feeling slighted in my experience. I believe every place has room for a margin of error but this place exceeded that margin greatly. I have realistic expectations for ambiance, customer service and services provided when I spend a small fortune on a facial treatment in a high end spa. They were aware of the noise issues and admitted to the problem and also informed us that they were short staffed for pool side service. I addressed my issues with the front desk staff upon check out. We left the spa in a hurry so we could get lunch. After asking for service from two spa attendants who said they would get someone to take our order we waited over an hour for service and nobody ever arrived. Both of us were starved because we held out to have pool side lunch to enjoy after our treatments. We decided to make the best out of the situation and hit the pool. Her esthetician didn't provide any neck, decollete or shoulder massage during the 90 minute treatment and her opinion of the products were very similar to my own. She too felt very uncomfortable with the noise level and described her facial as the worst facial she had ever experienced. My girlfriends experience was even worse than my own. It wasn't her fault the products weren't my favorite or the paper thin walls disrupted the relaxation. Again, she tried and did the best she could under the noisy circumstances. However disappointing my service I could find a small silver lining and that was with the actual esthetician. I was not a big fan of the products used during the treatment at all and I would have preferred something more enticing. It spelled like rotting ocean on my face. The algae mask used during the facial smelled awful. Next are the products.not once during my facial did I get a whiff of a pleasant aroma. On a positive note, she was overall delightful and tried hard to provide a great treatment but the noise levels were making it impossible to unwind. The lack of background spa music was making me feel really uncomfortable, I could hear my estheticians stomach rumbling. I literally heard the spa consultation in the next room while I was receiving my facial treatment. The actual service was very poor due to paper thin walls, loud noises, banging, talking and no background spa music. The actual facial room was very attractive and the bedding was amazingly comfortable. We were taken back to our services on time. This is a very clean and beautiful looking facility. We arrived 30 minutes early and we were given a tour of the facility. The pictures were gorgeous and we both agreed that we would spend half a day enjoying a spa retreat. My girlfriend and I were VERY excited to make this spa the focal point of our trip while visiting Park City, Utah. I am an avid spa goer and I will travel the world just to visit top rated spas. Facilities also fell short of expectations, with other local spas offering far superior amenities The manager did apologize in person, but the staff on checkout noted the manager wanted to follow up and took contact info, but I have yet to hear back Actual massage was different than scheduled, and not sufficient quality to stay for the duration The attendants came to find me at 2:30 pm for my appt, having changed the time again without communicating Lunch took an hour to be delivered, and they required a separate credit card from the spa because their systems don't communicate They couldn't find my reservation when I arrived (despite the multiple confirmation calls), and changed the spa time from 3pm to 2:45pm Received five calls tied to confirmation and getting the credit card (which they didn't write down right) the day prior The initial booking (via phone) they couldn't take the credit card due to system issues Operational deficiencies fall well short of a five-star experience, with poor execution and underwhelming resolution.
